My Dream Come True
Hi again,
Since I was a little girl I always dreamed of becoming a fashion designer.
I remember myself around eight years old watching my grandmother with wide eyed amazement. My Grandmother ז״ל (may her memory be a blessing) would stand in front of her immaculately organized closet, picking what she would wear for the day. One side of her closet was where all her dresses would hang and the other side displayed all her accessories. She was always dressed to impress.
Even when she was home, her hair would be neatly styled, her perfume would be fresh and her face always had a touch of natural makeup and a big smile. I was so blessed to have a grandmother that was such an inspiration. She would teach me all about different fabrics and how to match skirts and shirts and even about shoes and Jewlery.
I was drawn to clothing, fabrics and everything fashion from such a young age and it’s something that stayed with me.
My siblings knew that I would help them dress, teach them what to match and they would always turn to me for fashion related help.
Growing up there were very limited options when it came to modest fashion and I always dreamed of having my very own line with my own designs!
When I got older, with lots of hard work and perseverance I was able to slowly slowly turn my dreams into reality.
One of my biggest dreams was to debut my line, Fromay Besancon, on the runway at New York Fashion Week.
Guess what?!
Next week it’s happening! My dream is actually coming true! I can’t wait to be able to say “I did it!”
Next week September 13 the Fromay Besancon Winter Collection will be presented for the very first time, live on a NYC fashion week runway!
I knew that perseverance and my trust in G-d would lead me to accomplish my dream!!
The world of fashion is by no means an easy one. It may glitter from the outside but behind the scenes the work never ends. It’s non stop action with plenty of ups and downs. Yet, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt over the years it’s to listen to myself! My inner voice! Not to give up! Not to despair! That no matter what ‘they’ say about you for good or for bad, if you got them talking then you’ve succeeded!
So one of my dreams is on its way to coming true and now all that’s left, is to wish that you too will have your dreams come true.
