Hi again! This time I want to dedicate this months blog post to shopping fast fashion!
I know that it’s a worldwide, old standing debate regarding the pros and cons of fast fashion. As someone who manufactures her own clothing line in New York I can wholeheartedly share my honest opinion on this topic with you.
Allow me to give you some insights as someone in the industry!
When I design clothing, firstly I start by taking my clients comfort into consideration. Then I think about designing something timeless that can be worn and enjoyed over and over again. Each piece a unique design. Let’s not even get into the thought and consideration that goes into choosing fabrics and the vigilance and quality control required during the manufacturing stage.
Why am I sharing all this with you? (And this is just a tiny portion of what’s goes into a garment from conception of design until the customer holds it in their hand!) Because it hurts me to see how instead of investing their money into one timeless, quality, clothing item, women and girls spend the same money on lots of cheaply made clothes that need to be discarded after one season!!!
As someone who’s middle name is “uniqueness”, and who invests so much time, thought and energy into high quality fashion and styling, allow me to explain why it’s not always worth your time and money to run and buy this seasons’ trendy, cheap pieces.
This type of consumerism creates a cycle. Running to buy fast fashion, wearing the items a few times and then moving on to the next item and starting the cycle all over again.
A women who wears high quality pieces is not going to run out and buy fast fashion. A women who wears high end clothing knows that quality matters. She knows the importance of fit. She knows the importance of well made seams and finishes. The importance of having a clothing item handmade with love and not on an assembly line with underpaid workers!!
Mostly importantly is that when you buy quality products you are paying not only for the high quality but also for the design made with love. The consideration that went into each detail so that the clothing will be both comfortable and timeless. The priceless feeling of knowing that you are wearing a high quality outfit that’s worth every penny you invested in it!
The smart, forward thinking approach is not to run out and buy the new hot trend but rather to invest in unique, quality items that you can mix and match to create a infinite amount of one of a kind looks. The final result is one that you can’t get from wearing fast fashion where you never know when you’ll run into someone wearing the same exact dress as you!
Most importantly, you know that you are not supporting unethical manufacturing where underprivileged workers get taken advantage of under terrible conditions! You know that it’s not clothing that after two wears rips, the seams pull and the zipper breaks. You know that it’s quite the opposite. Each design has so much thought and care from the moment it’s created until the moment it arrives in your hands. Each detail is thought out.
Remember this:
Being unique is not following the herd!
So go be unique, in your own way 😉

והיי שוב, הפעם אני רוצה להקדיש את הבלוג לקניות ברשתות האופנה! אני יודעת שכבר מלא זמן העיסוק על רשתות האופנה בין לטוב ולרע , מעסיק מלא אנשים ברחבי העולם!! כאחת שמייצרת את הבגדים בניו יורק אני יכולה בלב שלם לבוא ולומר לכם את דעתי בנושא רשתות האופנה. אני יביא לכם פה מבט ממני כאשת אופנה על הדבר הזה שניקרא רשתות אופנה !! כשאני מייצרת בגד, אני מתחילה קודם בחשיבת הנוחות של הלקוחה עם העיצוב, ואז לחשוב על עיצוב שזה יהיה על זמני שתוכלי ללבש אותה שוב ושוב.כל פעם בסטיילניג שונה, ומי מדבר על בחירת הבד ועל השלב של הייצור שכמובן נעשה תחת פיקוח מלא של מעצבי האופנה. ולמה אני מספרת לכם את כל זה ??? (וזה רק חלק קטן מהרגע שעיצוב יוצא לדרך עד שמגיע ללקוחה !!!) מכיוון שכואב לי לראות איך במקום להשקיע כסף בבגד אחד איכותי,בנות מוציאות אותו סכום על מלא בגדים מאיכות זולה שאחרי שימוש של עונה אחת עוברות הלאה !!! כאחת שהשם השני שלי הוא יחודית, ומשקיעה המון זמן, ומחשבה באופנה איכותית ובסטיילניג שיהיה תמיד שונה ומיוחד אני יסביר לכם גם למה לא כדאי לרוץ כל פעם לחנות שמוכרת את האופנה שהכי הולך לעונה בזול. מה שבעצם נוצר פה זה מעגל של קניית בגדים בזול ואחרי שימוש של כמה פעמים עוברים הלאה לקניה הבאה בתור !!! אשה לבושה בסטייל איכותי זה לא אשה שקונה בגדים ברשתות אופנה מהירה !!! אשה לבושה באיכות ובסטייל מכבד, זאת אשה שמבינה מה זה איכות בבגד. מהו בגד שיושב טוב על הגוף, מהו בגד שהגימורים שלו נעשו באהבה ולא באיזו בית חרושת שמשלמים פרוטות לאנשים שיעבדו שם קשה!!! והכי חשוב כשאת קונה בגד יקר את משלמת לא רק על האיכות , את משלמת על עיצוב שנוצר מאהבה. מהתחשבות בלקוחה מבחירת בד שיהיה נוח ועם זאת בסטייל על זמני !!! והרגשה שאת לובשת בגד יוקרתי ששווה כל שקל שהשקעת. החוכמה היא לא לרוץ ישר ולקנות בזול את מה שהכי הולך היום!!! החוכמה היא לקנות בגד טוב שתוכלי כל פעם ללבש בלוק שונה ולהרגיש הכי יחודית,שאת זה לא תוכלי לקבל כשאת קונה בגד ברשתות האופנה. מכיוון שאין מצב שלא תתקלי במישהי עם אותה שמלה כמו שלך!!! והכי חשוב, שאת יודעת שבעיצוב איכותי לא נעשה שימוש ציני באנשים קשיי יום !!! ושאחרי שימוש של פעם פעמיים פה יקרע חוט , פה ישבר רוכסן וכו, ההיפך לכל עיצוב ועיצוב יש חשיבות מלאה מהרגע שהיא יוצאת לייצור ועד שמגיעה אלייך. והייצור נעשה בכיבוד עובדים. ובהקפדה יתרה על כל פרט ופרט. יחודית זה לא לרוץ אחרי העדר !!!!!! ואת זה תמיד תיזכרי!!!! אז ..... לכי תהיי יחודית בדרך שלך, אוהבת פרומה
